After 2 days reconnecting with my family in Casablanca, I’m on the road again… Literally! I’m writing from the car driving to Meknes. Alongside my parents, we stopped in a typical Moroccan restaurant in the capital Rabat for a dinner. The restaurant in question is named El Ouazzani located in the neighbourhood of Agdal. It serves various Moroccan dishes such as Harrira (a traditional soup) and grilled meat and french fries.

Rabat
Rabat is the capital of Morocco and the second largest city in the kingdom. The city is located on the Atlantic coast and was recently awarded second place in “Top Travel Destinations of 2013” by CNN. Indeed, the city is very clean and well maintained and host international events such as the worldwide known Mawazine Festival or Jazz Chellah. This is one of my favourite cities in Morocco, it is lovely to visit it as it has a lot of culture to offer to visitors. Rabat is considered as a safe city where it is very easy to get around using Tramway, Buses, Taxis or by simply by feet.

Better quality pictures of my last visit to Rabat in 2011 after the jump!

Next stop: Meknes! 🙂
